I have a real bee in my bonnet about the phrase "imposter syndrome."

I want it banished.

In 1978, two psychologists coined a term that gave generations of brilliant, boundary-pushing, ambitious women the worst possible name for the voice inside them. They called her an imposter. They told us to distrust her. Silence her. Override her.

She isn't an imposter.

She is fear. And fear, when you understand her, is one of the most important voices in the room.

In this episode I walk you through:

– Why "imposter syndrome" is the most dangerous label we've handed to high-achieving women
